Steve Freshour is the founder of The Seller CPA and a Virginia-licensed CPA serving ecommerce businesses. He built the firm in 2019 for ecommerce founders seeking financial expertise beyond basic bookkeeping. Steve’s role combines firm leadership with practical attention to the financial systems and reporting needs of online businesses.
He began his career as a Financial Systems Accountant and later held operational roles in venture-backed fintech startups, commercial banks, and federal government settings. Steve also ran his own ecommerce business, giving him direct experience with the operating context of ecommerce founders. His technical focus spans ecommerce bookkeeping, U.S. income-tax reporting for Amazon sellers, entity-related filing considerations, inventory, and cost-of-goods-sold accounting.
